Companion Intelligence ("CI," "we," "our," or "us") offers Affirm financing as a payment option for eligible purchases. By choosing to finance your purchase through Affirm, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are in addition to Affirm’s Terms of Service and applicable financing agreements.


1. Affirm Financing Eligibility

  • Financing through Affirm is available to U.S. residents who meet Affirm’s eligibility criteria.

  • Approval is based on a soft credit check, which does not impact your credit score.

  • Loan terms, interest rates, and repayment schedules are determined by Affirm and may change at Affirm’s discretion.


2. Payment Terms & Loan Structure

  • Affirm offers fixed monthly payment plans over terms that may range from 3 to 36 months, depending on purchase amount and eligibility.

  • Interest Rates: Annual Percentage Rates (APR) may range from 0% to 36%, based on credit approval.

  • Down Payments: Some purchases may require an initial down payment at checkout.

  • Affirm does not charge hidden fees, and customers will never pay more than the agreed-upon amount at checkout.


3. Refunds & Cancellations

3.1 Refund Processing

  • Refunds for purchases made using Affirm must be initiated through Companion Intelligence Support at [support@companionintelligence.com].

  • Once CI confirms the refund, Affirm will process the refund within 3 to 10 business days, depending on the customer’s bank processing time.

  • Customers must continue making scheduled Affirm payments while refund requests are being processed. Failure to do so may result in delinquency or negative credit reporting by Affirm.

3.2 Full Refunds

  • If a full refund is issued before any payments are made, the loan balance will be canceled in full.

  • If payments have already been made, Affirm will refund any payments to the original payment method.

3.3 Partial Refunds

  • If a partial refund is issued, Affirm will adjust the customer’s remaining balance by reducing the final payment(s) or shortening the loan term.

  • If the refund amount exceeds the remaining loan balance, the difference will be refunded to the original payment method.

3.4 Cancellations

  • For cancellations, customers must contact CI directly. CI will notify Affirm to process the cancellation and adjust the loan balance accordingly.


4. Late Payments & Penalties

  • Affirm does not charge late fees; however, missed payments may affect the customer’s eligibility for future Affirm financing.

  • Payments must be made according to the agreed-upon schedule to avoid delinquency or default.

  • Affirm may report delinquent accounts to credit bureaus, potentially impacting the customer’s credit score.

  • In the event of loan default, Companion Intelligence is not responsible for resolving outstanding balances. Customers must resolve payment delinquencies directly with Affirm.


5. Chargebacks & Disputes

  • Customers must attempt to resolve disputes with Companion Intelligence Support before initiating a chargeback.

  • Unauthorized chargebacks will be contested with evidence of product delivery and policy acknowledgment.

  • Chargebacks initiated without first engaging in good faith dispute resolution with CI will be deemed fraudulent.

  • Customers found engaging in chargeback abuse may be reported to Affirm, restricted from future financing options, and pursued for financial recovery, including legal action.

7. Legal Compliance & Modifications

  • This policy complies with Affirm's financing regulations, U.S. consumer protection laws, the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and applicable state lending regulations.

  • Companion Intelligence reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time in compliance with Affirm’s terms and legal requirements.

  • This policy is governed by the laws of California and Wyoming, and any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Laguna .
